Share your favorite Super Bowl snacks. We'll share some of ours!
How do you Super Bowl??
Seems like a good question, heading into this weekend, right?
We want to share some of our favorites with you, and invite you to share your snacking ideas with us (and everyone else!!).
I'll start with this mouth-watering, oh-so-easy snack - thank you, Laura! Get your crockpot ready!
Meatballs in our Crangasm jam, chili sauce, maple syrup and bourbon. Really.
We pick up a 5lb package of frozen, precooked turkey meatballs (the smaller size meatball) at BJ's...even better if you make them from scratch! Turkey, beef, vegan, whatever you like.
Place the meatballs in the crockpot. In a separate bowl, mix 1 jar of Crangasm jam, 1 bottle chili sauce, 1/8 cup maple syrup, 1/8 cup bourbon*. Pour over the meatballs and stir to coat them evenly. Simmer for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally to keep the meatballs in the bottom of the crockpot from burning. *Sauce ingredients can and should be adjusted to your liking.
Serve and enjoy! We typically serve with toothpicks for informal gatherings.
